Practice Makes Perfect

Our practices are structured workouts of interval training and stroke-improvement drills (our coaches will explain). With six to eight lanes in the pool, we are able to fit everyone into a group that suits their level of ability.

Practice Schedule

We hold our practices on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. As a member, you are welcome to swim as many practices per week as you like.  Our practice schedule doesn't often change, but check our home page for the week's upcoming schedule.

DSC members are not allowed in the U of T pool areas or locker rooms outside of practice times.

Here is the general practice schedule:

Tuesdays

Short course practice (25 yards)

Rosedale Heights School (711 Bloor Street East)

7:30 to 8:30 pm: A and D groups share the pool.
8:30 to 9:30 pm: B and C groups share the pool.

Arrive 15 minutes early for sign-in and deck stretch.

Thursdays

Short course practice (25 yards)

Rosedale Heights School (711 Bloor Street East)

7:30 to 8:30 pm: A and D groups share the pool.
8:30 to 9:30 pm: B and C groups share the pool.

Saturdays

Long course practice (50 meters)
University of Toronto (Main Pool)
5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Arrive 15 minutes early for sign-in and deck stretch.

Sundays

Short course practice (25 meters)
University of Toronto (Main Pool)
5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Arrive 15 minutes early for sign-in and deck stretch.
